| Spreading shrub to small erect tree, 3m – 16m tall with grey-green ‘fern-like’ foliage. The new growth is very soft, silvery and felty to touch. Bark can be smooth through to deeply fissured, dark grey-brown, often with a mottled appearance. Individual leaflets 2-5mm long x 0.4-0.7mm wide. Glands on main stems at each leaf junction. Flowering with bright yellow heads from July to November. Tolerant of a wide range of conditions, but prefers a moist, well drained soil with annual rainfall above 550mm a year. Can handle cold, frost and winds, but does not like waterlogged soils or extended dry periods. Will grow in most soil types as long as drainage is adequate. 25 seeds Sowing Instructions: Place seed in a container and cover with just boiled water; let sit for 24 hrs. Sow swollen seed and re-treat others. Sow depth of seed in a free draining mix; keep warm and moist but not too wet.
