| Dense coastal shurb between 1-2 m occouring in the south west corner of Western Australian and also Rottonest Is in deep sand making it ideal for coastal gardens. A dense and dome shaped plant 0.5 - 2.3 metres high. Flowerheads are globe-shaped and composed of 7-16 pale yellow flowers, these are on stalks between 10 and 25 mm long. Like many other Acacia species, it has phyllodes rather than true leaves. The phyllodes range from nine to twenty five millimeters long and five to thirteen millimetres wide. Flowers Aug-Dec. Approx 30 seeds Germination: 5-15 days Pre-treatment: Pour just-boiled water over seeds in a container and soak for 24 hours. Sow swollen seeds, re-treat others. Sowing: Depth of seed, keep warm and moist, but not wet. Zone: 8-10 |
