| This Acacia is one of the main three used in the bush food industry. Wattle seed has a nutty taste, and is used as a coffee substitute, in flour mixes, in cakes, and in sauces. Commonly known as Gundabluie or Elegant wattle this acacia typically grow as large shrub or small tree up to12m x 6m but often smaller, grows very quickly. Useful screening plant, frost tolerant, drought tolerant and water wise. Full sun to semi shade. Bird attracting. Approx 25 seeds Germination: 5-15 days Pre-treatment: Pour just-boiled water over seeds in a container and soak for 24 hours. Sow swollen seeds, re-treat others. Sowing: Depth of seed, keep warm and moist, but not wet. Zone: 8-10
