| Banksia dryandroides is a much-branched spreading shrub to 1 metre high. The stems are covered with a fine reddish hair, and the fernlike leaves are 5–17 cm long and 0.7–1.5 cm in width. The cylindrical flowers appear from October to January and are 2–3 cm high. They are pale yellow-orange/ brownish in colour with hooked pistils.
