| Native to NSW,Qld,Victoria and Tasmania, prefers light to medium well draining soil in a open sunny position or semi shade in hotter areas. Evergreen shrub growing to about 1 m high and 1 m across. Erect and branching in habit with short blunt leaves approx 1 cm long. Creamy, short bell shaped flowers appear in late winter to spring. Attracts nectar eating birds and is frost tolerant. Having a fine root system care must be taken during transplanting so as not to damage the roots. The seed of this species is very small and if grown in pots it is best sown in a small pinch to each pot and thinned to the strongest seedling. Approx 200-300 plus seeds |
