Spectacular white flower heads are known as umbels, which are large and rounded and made up of many tubular flowers. A reliable species for growing in a sunny border or container.

Native to South Africa.

Adaptable to most soils but prefers light to medium soil in an open sunny position.

Tropical: Late Winter to Early Summer.
Temperate: Spring to Summer.
Cold: Spring to Early Summer.

Sow: 6mm deep.
For best results sow directly into the soil where they are to grow. If growing on trays transplant when large enough to handle to avoid excessive root disturbance.
Germination: 14-28 days.

Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants.
