Sow in rows 40-60cm between plants and in rows 120cm apart
If sowing direct, plant 3-4 seeds 15mm deep in mounds, later thinning to the two strongest plants.
Plant in a free-draining soil in a position with full sun.
For best results fertilise and keep well watered, keep soil moist and avoid overhead watering where possible.
Harvest after 75-90 days when the stem turns brown and begins to break away from fruit.
