Typically forms a rounded shrub or small tree he shrub or tree with a rounded habit that grows to a height of 2-4 m with slender spreading branchlets that displays an abundance of rounded bright yellow flower balls on single stalks between the months of April and August.
Flat green phyllodes (leaves 5 to 12 mm long 1 to 1.6 mm wide and crowed along the branches hence the common name Crowded-leaf Wattle.

Adaptable to most soils but prefers a medium to heavy soil in a well-drained open sunny position. Drought and frost resistant.

Occurs naturally in New South Wales and Queensland.

Acacia is easy to propagate from seed.

The best time to sow Acacia seed is autumn, Late winter and spring.

  1. Sow in a well drained mix.
  2. Soak in water 24 hours
  3. Next, soak seeds in near boiling water  for 24-48 hours,to help soften the tough exterior and improve germination.
  4. Sow the seeds to a depth equal to the seed's width.
  5. Place in a semi-shaded postion.
  6. Keep the soil moist, avoid overwatering and ensure it doesn’t dry out.

Germination: Typically occurs within two weeks.
