Acacia disparrima produces cylindrical yellow-lemon yellow flowers between January and May, occurring singly or in pairs in the axils; the cylindrical flower heads have a length of 2-7 cm long.
Depending on the location the flowering period varies from January to May.
Like most species of Acacia it has phyllodes rather than true leaves.
The pale green to dark grey-green phyllodes are curved like a sickle with a length of 4-5 cm and a width of 0.5-3 mm.
The seed pods are straight to moderately curved and usually twisted. The woody pods are 2.5-10 cm in length and 10-20 mm wide.
A species of flowering plant in the family Fabaceae occurs naturally in Queensland and northern New South Wales on the edges of rainforests behind the coastal sand dunes.
The best time to sow Acacia seed is:
Cool climates: September to May.
Temperate climates: September to May.
Sub-Tropical climates: August to May
Tropical climates: September to November or March to May.
Arid climates: August to May.
Germination: Typically occurs within two weeks.
