A slender graceful shrub growing from 1-2m with a very attractive weeping habit and masses of bright yellow flowers that occur in 6 to 15-headed racemes 2 to 5 cm in length during the months of spring.
Adult foliage is comprised of narrow leaves phyllode (leaves) that are 1 to 3 cm in length and 0.6 to 1 mm in length.
Occurs naturally in only a small area of the Central Highlands region of Queensland.
Acacia is easy to propagate from seed.
The best time to sow Acacia seed is autumn, Late winter and spring.
Germination: Typically occurs within two weeks.
