A very ornamental species with dense foliage of small phyllodes (leaves) that produces bright golden yellow flowers that occur from June to October.
Although it was not commonly cultivated it is becoming more popular for its ornamental value in native landscapes as well as being well suited for rockeries and small gardens.
A small spreading or prostrate shrub can be variable in height from 30 cm to 2 metres depending on the conditions.
Priority 4 species: Rare, Near Threatened and other species in need of monitoring.
Occurs naturally in the region of the Geraldton Sandplains in Western Australia.
Prefers light well-drained soil in positions from partial shade to full sun. Drought resistant and light frost tolerant.
For best results, sow the seeds in spring or early summer. Sowings in autumn and winter may result in slow germination, weaker seedlings, or germination failure.
Germination: Typically occurs within two weeks.
