Acacia latescens is a tree growing from 3 to 10 metres high that produces creamy-white flower heads that that are globular, hence the common name "Ball wattle”
Flowers occur from April to July and are followed by seed pods that occur from August to January.
As with all Acacia, they do not have true leaves; they have modified leaves known as phyllodes.
The Phyllodes are narrowly elliptic to narrowly oblong-elliptic, 26 centimetres long and 1 to 2 centimetres wide.
Occurs naturally in the Northern Territory.
ACACIA latescens was first described by George Bentham in 1842.
Acacia is easy to propagate from seed.
The best time to sow Acacia seed is autumn, Late winter and spring.
