A dense dome shaped shrub with yellow globe shaped flower heads composed of 7-16 pale yellow flowers on stalks between 10 and 25 mm long. Flowering occurs from late winter to early summer.
The phyllodes (leaves) range from 10-25 mm long and 5-12 mm wide. Flowering from late winter to early summer.
Endemic to the south west corner of Western Australian and also on Rottnest Island in shallow sand. Ideal for coastal gardens.Well suited to temperate climates and sandy soils. Hardy shrub suited to exposed conditions. Flowers more profusely in full sun.
The best time to sow Acacia seed is:
Cool climates: September to May.
Temperate climates: September to May.
Sub-Tropical climates: August to May
Tropical climates: September to November or March to May.
Arid climates: August to May.
Germination: Typically occurs within two weeks.
