Acacia meisneri is a dense shur that typically grows to a height 2 metres.
It blooms between November to February and produces flowers that are yellow and held in cylindrical clusters. The spherical flower heads have a diameter of 7 to 8 mm and contain 55 to 110 densely packed brignt yellow flowers.
Like most Acacia species, it has phyllodes rather than true leaves. These are a grey green colour with a length of 15 to 40 mm and a width of 6 to 30 mm.
The phyllodes have an elliptic to oblanceolate or obovate shape
Acacia meisneri occurs naturaly in the regions of Avon Wheatbelt, Jarrah Forest and the Swan Coastal Plain in Western Austrlia.
An adaptable Acacia that is found in many soil types including Sand, clay, loam, sometimes rocky soils.
The best time to sow Acacia seed is:
Cool climates: September to May.
Temperate climates: September to May.
Sub-Tropical climates: August to May
Tropical climates: September to November or March to May.
Arid climates: August to May.
Germination: Typically occurs within two weeks.
