A medium-sized shrub with an erect stem and slender arching branches with pale yellow flower rods occurring from spring to summer. Light green phyllodes (leaves) 2 cm long arranged in whorls around the branches.
Prefers light to medium soil that is well drained in an open sunny position. Drought, frost and flood resistant.
Occurs naturally in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania.
For best results, sow the seeds in spring or early summer. Sowings in autumn and winter may result in slow germination, weaker seedlings, or germination failure.
Germination: Typically occurs within two weeks.
