Tall slender stem with furrowed corky bark and a dense bushy crown wuth leaves that turn yellow in autumn. Yellowish green flowers with downy heads in spring.
Often used as hedging as it withstands heavy pruning.
Indigenous to the Northern Hemisphere.
Prefers a light to medium alkaline in a protected sunny position. Frost resistant but drought tender.
