The Maiden Quiver produces many branches from the ground level, forming a dense, rounded shrub.
An attractive Aloe that produces large spectacular flower spikes around 20 cm tall in a vibrant yellow.
Flowering occurs in winter and spring but may be delayed in areas with colder conditions.
A flowering succulent native to the South African and Namibia border area, it is the most diverse in South Africa.
The secret to growing aloe is to create a free-draining mix that will not become waterlogged. Aloe seeds can be easily propagated in sandy and well-drained potting soil during spring or summer.
Once you've sown the seeds, cover them with a thin layer of sand (1-2mm) and keep the soil moist but not too wet.
It's best to keep the seeds in a warm and shady area.
When the seedlings are sufficiently grown to handle, they can be planted out.
It usually takes about three weeks for the seeds to germinate when the soil temperature is around 23°C.

- Please do not be too hasty to discard seeds that do not germinate; seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural germination requirements.
- As with all seeds, they must have adequate water to keep them moist but not too wet.
