Amaranth make an attractive addition to the flower bed and has the added bonus with leaves high in protein, vitamins and minerals.
Very vigorous plant that can be cut young and are perfect for colouring up salads or used cooked like spinach. Leaves and stems can be eaten.

Temperate: Late Winter to Early-Summer.

Sow: 5mm deep.
For best results sow directly into soil where they are to grow.

Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants.
