This charming little vine produces dark red blooms which are followed by edible winged pods. Best eaten small, they are excellent steamed or added to other vegetables. Sauté whole in butter and they taste very much like asparagus. Thrives in poor soil and full sun.
Adaptable to most garden soils and will thrive in even poor soil in a sunny position, requires only average moisture.

Sow: 25mm deep.
Soaking seed overnight prior to sowing helps with the up-take of moisture for germination. Best sown direct in growing position in moist soil.
