Great-flavoured, beautiful dark-red young tops are available in about a month from sowing and make attractive additions to salad mixes and the tasty round roots have a remarkably sweet wholesome flavour.

Exceptional heirloom variety with no green colour anywhere on this plant.

Grow notes:

Sow: 12mm deep
For best results grow in trays of a quality seed raising mix transplant when 6cm high. Alternatively sow direct and thin to strongest plant.

Row Space: 20-25cm
Germination: 10-14 days
Maturity: 8-10 weeks

Adaptable to most good garden soils, prefers an open sunny position. Avoid deformed beets by planting them in loose soil free from stones or rocks.
