The Swan River Daisy provides an impressive and vibrant display of flowers in a garden, especially when planted in groups. An attractive ground-covering plant with blue daisy-like flowers 2 cm across, appearing from spring to summer. Easy to grow and ideal for groundcovers, borders and tubs.

Indigenous to Western Australia, it grows along watercourses, in swampy areas, or on chalky hills around Perth.

Prefers light to medium soil in an open sunny position but will tolerate some shade. It is very hardy and is drought and frost-resistant.

Swan River Daisies can be easily grown from seed and germinate quickly, usually within 2 to 4 days and at most within 2 to 12 days. The best time to sow the seeds is in May or June if you live in a coastal area and in June or July if you live in other locations. In areas where frost is expected, it's recommended to sow the seeds after the last frost.

Spread the seeds evenly on top of a porous seed-raising mix and cover them with a very thin layer of the mix (around 1-2 mm). To prevent disturbing the seeds, use a fine mist spray to water them. Put the container in a warm, semi-shaded spot to prevent the seeds from drying. It's essential to keep the mix warm and moist but avoid letting it dry out or becoming waterlogged.
