Bulbine glauca grows to about 50 cm with thick, fleshy roots and 6 to 16 leaves on each plant, which are blue-grey.
The yellow flowers are small, shaped like stars, and usually grow after rain.
The flowers bloom in spring and sometimes in autumn if there is regular watering.
Easy to propagate from seed, ideal for landscaping or rock gardens.
Prefers a rich well-drained soil in an open sunny position. During the hottest months water 2 or 3 times a week and allow but allow drying off after.
A native to NSW and Tasmania.
The best time to sow the seed is Autumn.
The ideal temperature for germination is around 16°C.
Germination should occur within 4 to 8 weeks depending on conditions.
