A dwarf variety is suitable for pots and borders that produce large double flowers in apricot, orange, light yellow and yellow shades that make excellent cut flowers.
Bon Bon Dwarf Mix is a versatile plant used in containers, beds, borders, mass planting and pollinator gardens where it attracts beneficial insects.

Calendula has been used since at least the 12th century for culinary and medicinal purposes. Its flower petals are edible and have a slightly bitter and peppery taste.

Calendula plants typically self-seed in the garden, dropping their seeds on the soil at the end of the season; if left undisturbed, they should germinate and grow again the following season.
It is adaptable to most soils and conditions, provided it is sunny, but prefers rich, moderately moist, and well-drained soils.

Calendula seeds can be planted directly into the garden or in trays/containers and then transplanted when they are large enough to handle.

For garden planting, sow the seeds 15mm deep and 50-60cm apart in rows 60cm apart. It is essential to keep the soil moist throughout the growth period. The seeds will typically germinate within 7-14 days. The optimum soil temperature is 18-22°C.

Tropical: Late Summer to Autumn or in Spring.
Temperate: Mid-summer to Late Autumn.
Cold: Spring or Autumn

Please do not be too hasty to discard seeds that do not germinate; seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural germination requirements.

As with all seeds, they must have adequate water to keep them moist but not too wet.
