A versatile sweet red capsicum that can be eaten fresh, cooked or dried and ground to make into a spice. A high yielding, vigorous and hardy variety.

Make your own sweet paprika seasoning to add colour and flavour too many dishes. To make your own Paprika remove the seeds from the fruits and slice the flesh and dry in the sun or in a food dehydrator. Grind the dried peppers in a coffee grinder and you have ground paprika.

Adaptable to most garden soils but prefers a well-drained well fed soil in a sunny position. Annual in temperate climates perennial in the tropics

Capsicums require warmth for germination, if starting early provide warmth.

Sow: 6mm deep.
Grow in trays of a good seed raising mix and transplant when 6-7cm tall.
Germination: 10-14 days.
Plant space: 50cm
Row space: 50cm
Maturity: 10-12 weeks

Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants.
