An Italian heirloom variety producing short compact plants that bear good yields of tasty blood red 5 cm (2") fruits with thick flesh; ripens from green to red. The flesh is thick and crisp and delicious fresh or cooked. Harvest green after 50 days and 70 days for red.
Adaptable to most garden soils but prefers a well-drained, well fed soil in a sunny position. Annual in temperate climates perennial in the tropics.
Capsicums require warmth for germination, if starting early provide warmth.
