Silverbeet or Chard that can be harvested young for use in fresh salads or left to mature in to bigger leaves more suited to cooking.

Full of goodness Rainbow Chard has the added advantage of also being used as an ornamental plant due the wonderful colours in the stems. Just at home in the flower garden or container as the edible garden.

Adaptable to most well-drained garden soils, prefers an open sunny position.

Sow: 10mm deep.
Sow direct or in trays of a quality seed raising mix and transplant when 5-6cm tall.

Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants. Pick leaves continuously to promote new growth.
