Eye-catching dandelion-type chicory with bright red stems and dark green leaves. Although Red Rib is not a true dandelion the appearance and mildly bitter flavour are similar.
Excellent for spring and autumn salads when the cooler weather enhances the colour. A must for any salad mix or Italian salad as it adds great flavour and colour.
Prefers moist fertile well-drained soil but grows well in almost any garden soil in a sunny position.
