Eye catching dandelion type chicory with bright red stems and dark green leaf. Although not a true dandelion the appearance and mildly bitter flavour are similar.
Excellent for spring and autumn salads when the cooler weather enhances the colour.
Prefers moist fertile well-drained soil but grows well in almost any garden soil in a sunny position.
