A popular variety of New Mexico chilli that produces mild, thick walled chillies 150-200 mm (6-8") long and 50 mm (2") wide that are ideal for stuffing, roasting and mild enough to eat fresh of the plant.

An improved version of the early New Mexico Chilli that produces larger peppers and higher yields.

Adaptable to most garden soils but prefers a well-drained, well fed soil in a sunny position. Annual in temperate climates perennial in the tropics.

Capsicums require warmth for germination, if starting early provide warmth.

Temperate: Early Spring to Early Summer
Cold: Mid-Spring to Early Summer

Sow: 6mm deep.
Grow in trays of a good seed raising mix and transplant when 6-7cm tall.
Germination: 10-14 days.
Plant space: 50cm
Row space: 50cm
Maturity: 10-12 weeks

Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants.
