Spectacular climbing plant for the summer garden; this violet form of Cathedral Bells or The Cup and Saucer Plant comes from Mexico and quickly grows to cover unsightly areas or a wall outdoors, where it can be treated as a summer annual. Alternatively it may be grown in the heated conservatory or greenhouse, where it will continue to flower for many years.

Prefers a humus rich soil in a protected sunny position, frost resistant but drought tender.

Pre-treatment: Soak seed in water overnight.

Sow: 2 mm deep.

Tropical climates: All seasons
Temperate climates: Winter to Spring.
Cold climates: Late-Winter to Early-Summer.

Germination: 21-28 days

12 Weeks
