An improved compact variety of collard that produces dark green, cabbage-like leaves. Non heading with a rapid growth rate with large dark green leaves. A favourite leaf to quick cook like spinach, excellent source of beta carotene and some vitamin C and calcium.
Bolt and disease resistant.
Prefers moist fertile well-drained soil but grows well in almost any garden soil in a sunny position.
Tropical: Mid Autumn to Early Spring.
Temperate: Mid-Summer & Autumn.
Cold: Mid-Summer to Mid-Autumn.
Sow: 5mm deep.
Grow in trays of a good seed raising mix or sow direct where they are to grow
