Cosmos sensation dazzler has large dark crimson red flowers make this plant ideal for a border or cutting. It blooms in early spring and continues to bloom throughout summer and autumn.
Cosmos make great cut flowers with a vase life of 5-7 days. Harvest the blooms in the early morning, selecting stems with flowers that have just opened.
The plants thrive on neglect and reseed themselves easily, making them a great choice for wildflower meadows or naturalized areas.
Excellent colourful bedding plants for low-maintenance dry areas are great for cut flowers.

Cosmos bipinnatus is native to Mexico, Guatemala and Costa Rica.
It is a popular garden plant, with many cultivars bred in every shade and colour.
The best time of year to sow Cosmos seeds is mid-spring to mid-summer in cold zones.
In temperate zones, the best time is early spring to mid-summer. In tropical zones seed should be sown in the dry mid-Autumn to late winter is best.

Germination: 14-21 days at a soil temperature of 20-25°C
