Cosmos sensation Gloria is a beautiful cosmos variety that produces flowers with pink petals and rose-coloured eyes during spring and summer in most states and winter in northern Australia. They look great when planted in meadows and cottage gardens.

Cosmos makes great cut flowers with a vase life of 5-7 days. Harvest the blooms in the early morning, selecting stems with flowers that have just opened.

An excellent choice for low-maintenance gardens, these colourful bedding plants are great for cutting flowers and adding vibrant colour to any spring or summer garden.
A popular garden plant with many cultivars bred in just about every shade and colour.

The plants thrive on neglect and reseed themselves easily, making them a great choice for wildflower meadows or naturalised areas.

Cosmos bipinnatus is native to Mexico, Guatemala and Costa Rica.

The best time of year to sow Cosmos seeds is mid-spring to mid-summer in cold zones.
In temperate zones, the best time is early spring to mid-summer. In tropical zones seed should be sown in the dry mid-Autumn to late winter is best.

  1. Best sown 6 mm directly where they are to grow.
  2. If sowing in trays transplant when large enough to handle.
  3. If mass planting as a meadow scatter seeds and rake over

Germination: 14-21 days at a soil temperature of 20-25°C

*Please note:

  • Please do not be too hasty to discard seeds that do not germinate; seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural germination requirements.
  • As with all seeds, they must have adequate water to keep them moist but not too wet.
  • These growth notes are provided as guidance only and do not guarantee successful germination.
