Cosmos Purity White produces large 7.5-10 cm pure white blooms with yellow centres. This soft display of colour makes an ideal backdrop for lower-growing flowers in the garden bed.
Cosmos are an excellent cut flower with a vase life of 7-10 days.

Colourful bedding plants for low-maintenance dry areas are great for cut flowers.

One of the easiest and most attractive flowers in the spring and summer garden.
As with all cosmos, they self-seed heavily, so you are sure of another great display the following summer.

Cosmos bipinnatus is native to Mexico, Guatemala and Costa Rica.
It is a popular garden plant, with many cultivars bred in every shade and colour.

The best time of year to sow Cosmos seeds is mid-spring to mid-summer in cold zones.
In temperate zones, the best time is early spring to mid-summer. In tropical zones seed should be sown in the dry mid-Autumn to late winter is best.

  1. Best sown 6 mm directly where they are to grow.
  2. If sowing in trays transplant when large enough to handle.
  3. If mass planting as a meadow scatter seeds and rake over

*Please note:

  • Please do not be too hasty to discard seeds that do not germinate; seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural germination requirements.
  • As with all seeds, they must have adequate water to germinate; keep them moist but not too wet.
  • These growth notes are provided as guidance only and do not guarantee successful germination.
  • Customers should do their due diligence to ensure the product suits their region.
