Cosmos makes excellent cut flowers with a vase life of 5-7 days. Harvest the blooms in the early morning, selecting stems with just-opened flowers.

Cosmos are a popular garden plant with many cultivars bred in every shade and colour.
As with all Cosmos, they thrive on neglect and re-seed themselves easily, making them an excellent choice for wildflower meadows or naturalised areas.
Adaptable to most well-drained garden soils in a sunny position. Tolerant of average soils.
Cosmos sulphureus originates from the wildflower meadows of Mexico, Central America, and northern South America and has become naturalised in other parts of North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
The best time of year to sow Cosmos seeds is mid-spring to mid-summer in cold zones.
In temperate zones, the best time is early spring to mid-summer. In tropical zones seed should be sown in the dry mid-Autumn to late winter is best.

Germination: 14-21 days at a soil temperature of 20-25°C
