A hardy perennial with tall straight stems and golden yellow globe-shaped flowers that occur from August to December in its natural range. Will flower well into summer with adequate water.
An excellent dried flower that adds colour to any cut flower arrangement.
Drought tolerant but prefers moist, well-drained soil, in a sunny to part shade. Tolerates frost and coastal conditions.
Endemic to News South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia.
Tropical: Early Spring to Late Autumn.
Temperate: Spring and Autumn.
Cool climate: Mid-Spring to Autumn.
Sow: 1 mm deep
Scatter direct or sow in trays and cover lightly with fine soil or seed raising mix. If sowing in trays transplant when large enough to handle.
Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny position.
