A very attractive coneflower growing to a height of 75 cm that produce a profusion of drooping flowers pale purple-pink in colour.
Ideal for mass planting as a meadow or just as spectactular in the border.
A popular medicinal plant the coneflower is used to make Echinacea and other herbal remadies. Most of the plant is used including the leaves, stems, roots and flowers.
They are used in a wide variety of different natural products made from these plants, some of which are used for the treatment of immune system disorders, bacterial infections and viral infections. It is believed that Echinacea improves the healing process of skin wounds. It may also control inflammation.
Adaptable to most well-drained garden soils in a sunny position. It is tolerant of drought, heat, humidity and poor soils.
