This lovely, old fashioned Southern eggplant variety produces very high yields of glossy, black eggplants that range from an oval to a teardrop shape. The eggplants are of a substantial size and are borne on large, vigorous plant of an upright type growth.
The plants are extremely productive and is a continuous setter of fruits that makes it ideal for home or market use,ideal eggplant variety for slicing, stuffing and baking.
Adaptable to most good garden soils that is well composted and free draining. Requires full sun and a long growing season. Perennial in the tropics but generally grown as an annual in temperate zones.
