Tsakoniki is the most famous of the Greek heirloom eggplants that produces long cylindrical fruit 22-24 cm long, striped in purple and white with very tender and sweet flesh.
Adaptable to most good garden soils that is well composted and free draining. Requires full sun and a long growing season. Perennial in the tropics but generally grown as an annual in temperate zones.

Sow: 6mm deep.
Sow direct or grow in trays of a good seed raising mix and transplant when 6-7cm tall.
