Eggplant with a striking red colour and the size of 20 cm (7in). An unusual and interesting colour to add to vegetable dishes. A good cropper, producing a generous yield of fruit throughout the summer.
Adaptable to most good garden soils that is well composted and free draining. Requires full sun and a long growing season. Perennial in the tropics but generally grown as an annual in temperate zones.

Sow direct or grow in trays of a good seed raising mix and transplant when 6-7cm tall.
