Turkish Orange Eggplant is a rare heirloom that originated in Turkey. The size and shape of a tomato with brilliant orange streaked green coloration, it is an excellent stuffing eggplant that is tender, sweet and fragrant. Keeps a long time after picking. Produces an abundant yield of fruit.

Adaptable to most good garden soils that is well composted and free draining. Requires full sun and a long growing season. Perennial in the tropics but generally grown as an annual in temperate zones.

Sow: 6mm deep.
Sow direct or grow in trays of a good seed raising mix and transplant when 6-7cm tall.
Germination: 10-14 days.
Plant space: 60-75cm
Row space: 60-75cm
Maturity: 6-10 weeks

Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants.
