Eremophila is a genus of around 270 species of plants in the Scrophulariaceae family in mainland Australia.
A shrub up to 1.5 metres high produces tubular pink-blue-purple-brown flowers from May to September
The flowers are borne singly in leaf axils from which they hang on a stalk 3–4.5 centimetres long with five overlapping petals with a pendant in habit. Flowering occurs mainly in winter but can flower sporadically throughout the year.
A rounded shrub with an erect branching stem and long narrow leaves to 15 cm long.
An adaptable shrub that will adapt to various soils including sandy, Stony clay, hillslopes, ridges and clay flats.Prefers a well-drained soil in an open sunny position, drought and frost-resistant.
Occurs naturally in the regions of Gascoyne, Murchison and Pilbara in Western Australia.
Propagation from the seed of Eremophila species is can be tricky as the seed is small and contained in a woody fruit. One method is to carefully split the fruits into half's and then quarters to exact the seed.
