A lignotuberous Mallee tree typically growing to a height of 2.5 to 5 m with a dark stem and rough stringy bark.
Flowers occur with many slender buds forming a spidery cluster to 1.8 cm long opening to creamy white flowers in January or April to May in its native range.
Endemic to the Avon Wheatbelt, Geraldton Sandplains, Jarrah Forest and Swan Coastal Plains regions of Western Australia.
Adaptable to variety of sandy, clay & loam soils, gravel, laterite or granite.
Although seeds can be sown most of the year if you avoid the coldest and hottest months, spring is generally the best time to sow.
The grow mix should be well-draining, preferably with organic compost. This will replicate the soil they require in nature.
A potting mix is not recommended.
Germination occurs in around 10-28 days at a soil temperature of 18-22°C
