Germination occurs in around 10-28 days at a soil temperature of 18-22°C
Cold stratification recommend:
Eucalyptus globulus is a cool mountain species of Eucalypt that’s native range has a cold winter before germinating in spring.
Cold stratification of 21-28 days is not critical for germination will generally increase germintion rates for this Eucalypt.
This can be replicated by cold stratification in the refrigerator for 21-28 days. Alternatively over wintering in the garden in cold climates will also assist in increasing germination rates.
