An attractive mallee or small tree with blue-green, waxy white leaves and buds. Four-sided, almost cubed flower buds open to white flowers that occur mid-summer in its native range.
The appealing foliage is popular in the cut foliage industry and widely used in flower arrangments.

An attractive mallee or small tree with blue-green, waxy white leaves and buds, making it ideal for small gardens and native landscaping. Requires little to no maintenance once established.

It occurs naturally in Western Australia, with the main population extending into the Eastern Wheatbelt from the south coast between Albany and Esperance. A smaller population occurs near Eneabba in the mid-west.

It is a hardy plant preferring well-drained sandy soil in a sunny position. Tolerate to drought and frost.

Best sown in spring or autumn in temperate climates, avoiding the coldest and hottest months of the year. The optimum temperature for germination is around 18-22°C

Sow seed in a seed-raising mix just below the surface. With seeds from species that produce tiny seeds, sow them on the surface and firm them down gently.
Water with a fine mist spray to avoid disturbance of the seed.
Germination generally occurs in around 10-28 days.

Please do not be too hasty to discard seeds that do not germinate; seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural germination requirements.
As with all seeds, they must have adequate water to keep them moist but not too wet.
