Enhance your garden with Foxglove Foxy Mix is a showy digitalis that produces an array of pastel blooms. Colours include pink, pale yellow, purple, white and magenta with marbled markings.

A popular old-fashioned plant that will attract nectar-feeding birds to the garden and readily self-sows. The low-growing foliage is topped by 60-90 cm spectacular well-formed flower spikes.

Ideal for cottage gardens and makes excellent cut flowers.

Plants may re-bloom if spent flower stalks are cut back after blooming.

The dried leaves are the principal source of medical digitalis, a heart medicine used in medicine to strengthen contractions of the heart muscle. Belonging to a group of medicine called cardiac glycosides.

Digitalis seeds are small, it is best to sow them on the surface firm them down and keep them moist.
If growing in trays transplant when large enough to handle.
If sowing for mass plantings scatter on roughened soil and rake cover lightly.

Germination: 14-21 days at a soil temperature of 18-22°C
Plant Space: 35 cm
Tropical: Autumn.
Temperate: Late Summer to Late Autumn.
Cold: Late Summer to Mid Autumn.

Please note:

  • Please do not be too hasty to discard seeds that do not germinate; seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural germination requirements.
  • As with all seeds, they must have adequate water to germinate, keep them moist but not too wet.
  • These growth notes are provided as guidance only and do not guarantee successful germination.
  • The customer should do their due diligence that they are suited to their region.
