These attractive old fashioned bedding plants are very easy to grow, whether in container or in the landscape.
In borders or mass planted as a meadow they make a very striking striking display of rose globe shaped flower heads that are borne on stiff upright branches and will bloom over a long period.
These colourful heads can be collected and dried for use in dried flower arrangements.
Grow notes:
Prefers an average to slightly sandy well-drained soil in a sunny position.
Tropical: Early Spring to Late Autumn.
Temperate: Spring to Late Summer.
Cool climate: Mid-Spring to Autumn.
Sow: 3mm deep
Scatter direct or sow in trays and cover lightly with fine soil or seed raising mix. If sowing in trays transplant when large enough to handle.
Plant in a well-drained soil in a sunny position.
