Balsam ‘Camellia Flowered Mix’ is an old-fashioned plant that has been grown in gardens for over a hundred years. Delightful large double flowers mostly axillary, in rose, salmon, white, scarlet and violet.
Ideally used in beds and borders as well as pots, containers and cottage gardens. Attracts bees and other beneficial insects.
Prefers full to part sun, with moderate to moist conditions in rich and well-drained soils.
Grow notes:
Tropical: Winter to Summer.
Temperate: Late Winter and Spring.
Cool climate: Late Winter to Early-Summer.
Sow: 5cm deep
Best sown direct or sow in trays and transplant when large enough to handle.
Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny position.
Plant space: 40cm
Germination: 10-14 days
Flowering: 12 weeks
