This mix of heirloom kales includes Dwarf Blue Curled, Red Russian, and Red Winter kale varieties. A great colourful mix, 40-80 cm tall.
Dwarf Blue Curled
An old heirloom variety of kale that produces low compact plants with finely curled bluish-green leaves. Good cooked or fresh in salads.
Red Winter Kale:
Russian-Siberian variety red winter kale is very cold hardy and uniform. It is more tender than most kales and especially well-suited for winter gardening.
Red Russian Kale:
Open pollinated heirloom from Russia with blue-green oak leaf type brassica with purple veining. Ornamental and edible the thick stems can withstand heavy snows, cold hardy to -10C with little protection.
Gow notes:
Adaptable to most garden soils that are composted and well-drained in a sunny position.

Temperate: Late Summer to Early Autumn.
Cold: Summer to Early Autumn.
Sow: 5mm deep.
Grow in trays of a good seed raising mix or sow direct where they are to grow
Germination: 8-10 days.
