Cos Verdi is an open romaine lettuce with crisp hearts and a rich sweet flavour.
Can be harvested early for baby lettuce. Cos lettuce are great used in Caesar salads for its crunch.
Prefers moist fertile well-drained soil but grows well in almost any garden soil in a sunny position with adequate water. Grow fast with plenty of water and regular feeds of liquid manure to avoid bitterness.

Sow direct or grow in trays of a good seed raising mix and transplant when learge enough to handle.
